Rene was the woman that helped us learn how to care for and live with our baby and as a result has allowed us to enjoy parenthood. Her one on one service allows the whole family to be involved and this helps dads to feel included and allows for consistent parenting. I just wish that it hadn’t taken six weeks to find out about Rene’s service.

When my son was six weeks old I employed the services of Rene Rees. At this time I had a baby that would not sleep more than two hours in a row, would not feed properly and would not stop crying. I was post-natally stressed, overtired and not enjoying new motherhood at all. I had attempted to get into Riverton but was told that the wait would be two months. I couldn’t hang on for this long. I rang Rene straight away…..

As soon as she walked in she gave me kind words of encouragement, a cuddle and put the kettle on. My husband and I both immediately felt at ease with her. It took just three hours for her to sort out Alex’s cot (as he had reflux), assess his bottles (it was decided these were not suitable for him) and to teach both my husband and I how to settle Alex to sleep. Although I still maintain that the first time Rene did the settling technique with us was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, it was also the first time that my son slept for seven hours straight and the last time that my mother in law had to sleep over to help me with the baby.
