For healthy brain development babies need a higher dose of IRON from 6 months onwards.

Fortified baby cereal may not deliver the amount a baby needs. Breast fed babies certainly need the iron more so than formula fed babies.  Try adding liver or lamb in the form of stews or mince. When i mention liver, most mothers will screw up their noses at the thought! This is a great scource of iron and can be a tasy dish. The baby will not object.
